straight, solid work

this was probably the best 2oon to date. thank god you changed the preloader from that crappy 24hours shit, but now the preloader takes FOREVER. still, solid work. collaborations should be more like this. forget everything you learned from the 2oons last month. make more like this, and all my fives will be with you.

TheStarSyndicate responds:

I can't blame you. I was getting bored with the old loader too.

If anyone else is interested in making new loaders send em to Daily2oon@gmail.com

dear jesus, when will it end?

i hate these so bad. they are always the same format: someone makes a movie that seems normal, that turns to screaming and seizure-inducing flashing lights, and the rest are all collages of seemingly unrelated things set to a loop and annoying music.

on that note, i actually jumped on the "BORING", even though i knew it was coming. i almost took off my headphones in preparation, but i figured id make it thru it. congratulations at actually being the first to make me jump.

TheStarSyndicate responds:

You seem be an animator yourself.

Why don't you actually try bringing the quality of the Daily2oons up instead of complaing?

24 frames per second, 550 by 400 and white beackground.

meh... -_-

the only thing i DIDNT like about this movie was that you compressed the audio too far. dont compromise quality for size when you have so much room left over.

InProgress responds:

yeah sorry about the compressed audio but if i didnt do that the movie would be 5 mb for only 1 minute most people think thats to big and they go on and blam the movie.. :( but the next movie will get better audio :)

the great mysteries of NG

if this is what you want to make a tutorial on, thats your business, but why does this have such a high score. at the very MOST, this should be a 1.75. if i made a clock like that, id be laughed off of NG, so why does someone EXPLAINING how to make a clock like that get praised?

GREAT music and animation

you get a 10 JUST for using avantasia
i LOVE avantasia. i have been addicted to the metal opera for about a year now.
plus, you have a style and talent that i could only hope for.

Xionico responds:

thanks a lot, and yeh avantasia rules
and about the flash, its jsut matter of practice =°

keep it up ^_^

this was very good overall. my only suggestion is for you to work on your buttons. under the "hit" column of the button MC, make it a big rectangle... "hit" is what defines the clickable area. text-buttons should not only be able to be clicked ON the letters, but in the gaps and between letters as well...

very good work.

Xurch responds:

Thanks for the good review. And yes I know the buttons were not easy to press

sorry for the brutal honesty...

one thing i loved about this movie...
...the X in the upper right hand corner

if you managed to actionscript your buttons, why didnt you just ACTIONSCRIPT the quality to medium instead of asking the viewer to do it. i mean, the movie wasnt bad quality, really. but there was no... background. just another slapdash action stick movie with trite movements and no real point.

N2tZ responds:

i did'nt actionscripted the movie to medium because some viewers have a gooooood computer. Did you even watched it to the end???
Well no prob whit the honesty

close, very close

"pepperoni and green peppers, mushrooms, olives, chives"
hmmm... you were close

very good actually. i was just laughing at you on that part (thats why you got a humour of "8")

Mp3-Lock responds:

Thats what makes it classic, It says green pepers and theres a red one. =D

not bad

ummm... haiku is supposed to have a strictly nature-related theme, in which an epiphany comes from the realization of some element of life or nature, etc. what you have here is one of the other forms of 5-7-5 japanese poetry. its called something else. i dont remember its name.

good poem tho (dont misunderstand)

tfchuck responds:

i never really cared for haiku before this but i thought it was a neat poem when i read it-- i actually think it has to do with Plato's parable of the cave...

well... just a few thoughts...

im sure this piece was meaningful (that isnt sarcasm), and i enjoyed seeing something that wasnt a cut-and-dry overplayed piece of work. my only problem is that a 2-frame loop of a poorly drawn picture, placed in a slideshow with the like does not qualify as "flash". this is merely an animated slideshow, and for that, i really dont see the relevance. again, the piece wasnt all that bad. i just dont think that NG is where this belongs.
